The LEUZE ODSL 8/C66 - 500 - S12 is an optical distance sensor renowned for its accuracy. Employing the triangulation principle, it measures distances from 20 to 500 mm. With a red laser light source (Laser Class 2, IEC/EN 60825 - 1:2007), it projects a light spot sized 2 mm x 6 mm at the sensor distance. The resolution ranges from 0.1 to 0.5 mm. It offers high accuracy, with 2% accuracy in the short range and 4% in the distant range. This makes it perfect for applications where exact distance determination is crucial, such as in automated manufacturing for part positioning or in logistics for package sizing.​

Robust Electrical Configuration​

Electronically, this sensor is designed for reliability. It operates on a supply voltage of 18 - 30 V DC, with a stable residual ripple of 0 - 15% from UB.
